So far today it has gotten up to 89 degrees here in Tujunga, CA. compared to 93 degrees yesterday the hottest so far in 2012 .At this hour of 1 pm Santa Monica Pier which is an hour away by freeway under ideal traffic conditions has a foggy 57 degrees and 97 per cent humidty while the humidity here is 32 per cent at this hour compared to 20 per cent yesterday and it feels muggier today . The dewpoint is higher at 55 so evaporative swamp coolers would not work as well today because at a dewpoint of 55 and higher they are not as efficient. It is also not quite as clear today as yesterday. Late in the afternoon this is an understatement. It is much cooler and now rather smoggy and it won't be cooler the next couple of days it will be colder, much colder. So long warm spring weather

Sooner or Later Emmett Tinley was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Co. Wicklow in Ireland. Through the 1990's he fronted the critically acclaimed Irish band The Prayer Boat. The band took a break as the new millennium began and Emmett moved to Amsterdam to work on his first solo album. At the end of 2000 he was signed by Craig Kallman to Atlantic Records in New York. The Prayer Boat's final album, 'Polichinelle', was released in the US in March 2001. Emmett embarked on three solo tours of the US but with the label in disarray after 9/11 he decided to return to Europe and focus on recording the new album, 'Attic Faith'. Working with mainly jazz musicians from Denmark (Martin Spure on bass, Nikolaj Bundvig on drums and Allin Bang on keyboards) the songs began to take shape and Emmett recruited guitarist Marijn Slager (from the Dutch rock ! band Nuff Said) as plans for recording the album came together. Australian producer Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, Beth Orton, PJ Harvey) was brought in to produce and recording began in New York in March 2003. By the end of the year Attic Faith was finished but Atlantic were unclear about what to do next. Plans were put on hold and Emmett moved back to Dublin, finally convincing Atlantic to allow him an Ireland-only release. Attic Faith was licensed to Independent Records and was released in April 2005 ...

(Background information) The readers of this blogs may have seen some of my excitement over Spike Brothers going back a ways. I finally poset about the deck 2 weeks ago. Since then at our Saturday tournament A local player did very well with the deck. Much to my surprise better than I ever did with it (and I test it a lot against all my current built decks: RP, Kag, OTT, Grappler, Grand Blue) Im not gonna hate the guy was pulling off wins that were amazing, undefeated on saturday only losing in casual play to my OTT build. It really had me reconsidering what I was doing wrong in running the deck and why I couldn't get such consistency when I worked with the deck so much. In fact my build on paper was much more consis! tent in pulling off the plays that it needs to pull off since he was still lacking some cards. Then I started picking up on some talk amongst players (Saturday) that each of the wins he was getting was mostly a result of triggers. Speculations started arising that he was cheating. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announce engagement

Hollywood A-listers Angelina Jolie, 36, and Brad Pitt, 48, are engaged to be married, a spokeswoman has confirmed. But no wedding date has yet been set, she added, describing the engagement as "a promise for the future". The couple, who are among Hollywood's most widely recognised celebrities, have been together since 2005. They have six children together, including three adopted children. They are "very happy" about the news, the spokeswoman said. Jolie, the daughter of actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand, has starred in blockbuster films such as Mr & Mrs Smith, where she met Pitt. She won an Oscar for her performance in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted. She was previously married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. Meanwhile, Pitt has starred in a string of hit films including blockbusters Ocean's Eleven, Seven and, more recently, the critically acclaimed Moneyball and Tree of Life. Earlier, Pitt had a high-profile relationship with actresses Gwy! neth Paltrow and Jennifer Anniston, to whom he was married. As a couple Pitt and Jolie have championed humanitarian causes. In 2001 she became a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She has also established a number of charitable organisations, among them the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

A native of the Baton Rouge area, he combined a blazing modernism with a fierce grip on his roots, playing frantic leads heavy with swampy funk on Howlin' Wolf's 'Killing Floor' and Koko Taylor's 'Wang Dang Doodle' as well as on his own Chess sides and the fine series of records he made with harp man Junior Wells. One of the last active connections to the golden age of Chess, Guy still plays with his original fire."
